The first festival of architecture, design and art was held in Vladivostok on “Dalzavod”territory
From 20 to 23 September Vladivostok united the design community of the Far East. The first festival of architecture, design and art “Vladivostok Design Week” took place in the city center on the Tsesarevichа Embankment.
The festival became a real event that attracted the attention of not only the design community. Guests and residents of Vladivostok appreciated the interior exhibition, within the framework of which the Far Eastern designers and manufacturers presented their original pieces. The educational part of the event was also popular: during the “Vladivostok Design Week”, numerous master classes, public discussions and open lectures by famous Russian designers were held.
The choice of the venue for the large-scale design festival was not random. A unique artillery workshop of the pre-revolutionary era on the Tsesarevichа Embankment, which belongs to the “Dalzavod” Ship Repair Center”, emphasized the creative component of the event.
“The Tsesarevicha Embankment is the most suitable location for such a festival,” says Daniela Shcherbinina, the organizer of “Vladivostok Design Week”. – Historical workshops in the very center of Vladivostok have all the prospects of becoming a design arts cluster. Arts should reign on this territory, and it will inspire residents and guests of Vladivostok. “
According to the festival organizers, they plan to continue the planned design agenda and make the “Vladivostok Design Week” an annual event. The purpose of this event will be not only education of the professional design community, but also development of the aesthetic taste of the population and raising the level of culture in the society.
